Extraordinary-Meals-CoverWell, hello friends!

Guess what?!

Remember that ecookbook I’ve been harassing you all about? YEAH…it’s DONE and ready for browsing!

IT’S HERE IT’S HERE!!

This cookbook has been a few months in the making and you’ve probably seen my instagram photos, facebook updates and tweets about it. It’s been quite the long process, but I was happy to do it because {1} I love what I do {2} I listen to my readers and {3} it’s nice to have all these everyday recipes in one place–not just for you but for me too!

IMG_0224Why did I write Everyday Ingredients Extraordinary Meals?

On my blog, I usually post all the random crazy recipes that pop into my head. Do I ever post the simple, everyday recipes I use on a weekly basis? Sometimes, but not usually. So, why did I decide to put all these recipes into a cookbook? Because I’ve been getting more and more emails from you wonderful people asking for them! I also loved the idea of self publishing my own recipes because I could control everything about it from start to finish, making the book completely and authentically MINE. {But of course with the help of Heidi!}

My whole goal with this ecookbook was to give you a taste of what I cook for my family all the time–basically a bunch of new recipes you can’t find on my blog. You’ll recognize a few {like my Cinnabons} but besides that, everything is pretty much brand new just for you!

IMG_0019Inside Everyday Ingredients Extraordinary Meals, you will find:

>My Baking Basics–what I have on hand all the time to create delicious food

>My Pantry Essentials–all the common ingredients I have in my kitchen that I use over and over again

>My Favorite Spices–the most common spices I find myself running out of constantly

>10 of my Family’s Favorite recipes

>10 recipes that are Quick Weeknight Eats

>10 recipes that are perfect Weekend Wonders.

>and the 4 most common recipes I make again and again that I always have whipped up and ready to go.

Congratulations on you new handsome baby boy 🙂

  2. Mande @ Newfound Foodie

I’m single, so my favorite family meal is MY fave meal 😛 But I really like to make simple tuna cakes and a potato and apple hash under it with a simple gravy. So delicious.

We love any pasta dish (lasagna, mac and cheese, etc) or maybe a cielito lindo (is a mexican dish with cream cheese, beef or chicken, beans, pico de gallo, guacamole and cheddar cheese). Bu we are a sweet family all the way, we prefer sweets every time. Congrats Lauren on your book and your baby boy

I cannot wait to purchase your cookbook and try some great new recipes! Our favorite family meal is probably tacos because you can always change up the fillings!

  6. Olivia @ Liv Lives Life

My favorite family meal is pizza. I know it’s simple, but a big pizza split between us on a Friday night is so much fun!
P.S. Congrats on the eCookbook AND the baby!!

Pozole! I think we ALL love it, and it’s super simple to make. Everyone adds what they want to their own bowls, what’s not to love?!?

I’m so excited for you, Lauren!! And it’s hard to choose my favorite meal, but it would definitely be one of my mom’s recipes. Probably her Navajo tacos or stacked enchiladas. Yum!

  9. Callie

Our favorite family meal is spaghetti! We get a kick out of our little guy (2years) slurping up his noodles! Cutest thing ever!

  10. Char

Fried chicken. Which we have about once a year because the fat content is over the top. Congrats on your cookbook and thanks for the giveaway.

Congratulations on the E-cookbook! Love your blog and recipes. One of our favourite meals is Stuffed pasta shells (with ricotta, spinach, 3 cheeses, parsley) with Tomato sauce.
