The Everything Cereal Bar

Do you get through half a box of cereal and then never end up finishing it? Well, that happened to my family last week. Talk about wasting food! Never finishing cereals that you get sick of. WELL, let me tell you, I turned our boring cereal into a great after school snack. These little babies were gone within 48 hours…and there are only 3 of us! Temptingly devilish and easy as pie! 10 minutes start to finish-promise!

The Everything Cereal Bar
yield: 8 servings
Ingredients:
35 large marshmallows
1/2 cup butter
30 caramels, unwrapped
1/2 teaspoon vanilla
1/4 teaspoon salt
4 cups multigrain cheerios
1/2 cup chopped salted, roasted peanuts
1/2 cup banana chips, chopped
1/2 cup pretzel sticks, chopped
1/2 cup plain M&M’s

Directions:
In large pot, melt the butter and caramels on medium low heat until smooth. Add in marshmallows and stir continuously until melted. Take pot off the heat and stir in vanilla and salt. Dump in all the dry ingredients and using a sturdy spoon, mix everything until evenly coated (will be very sticky!) Pour into a greased 8×8 square baking dish. Butter your fingers and press down mixture evenly. Let cool at room temperature and cut into squares.

this one I have to try! minus the peanuts since we have an allergic little girl but I'm assuming it'll still taste delicious! I like your crock pot recipes too – i tend to lean towards those ones since they're easiest – if you have any more please share!
