Deviled Strawberries | Plus Nutella!

Is it a wee bit ridiculous that I’m posting a Deviled Strawberry Recipe the day after Easter? Don’t answer that. Strawberries + Nutella is something everyone should enjoy every hour of every day. It’s kind of a simple idea and not much of a recipe, but it is something that is totally amazing and worth the time to make {all whopping 15 minutes}.

Main Ingredients Needed

When I say this is the easiest recipe ever, I mean it! These Deviled Strawberries only take three ingredients to make and about 15 minutes of your time. Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Strawberries – find the ripest, juiciest, and biggest strawberries you can! The bigger the strawberry the more filling you get and of course the more strawberry.
  • Nutella – I recommend getting this brand and not any sort of off-brand hazelnut spread. This is to ensure you get the best tasting dessert you can! Nutella truly is the best, perfectly smooth, and chocolatey.
  • Nuts – you can sprinkle any sort of chopped nuts on top of these, but I used almonds.

Variations

Nuts: Try toasting your nuts or use different kinds. Peanuts, almonds, pecans, or even macadamia nuts are good!

Nutella Mousse: One of my readers folded in whipped cream to their Nutella to create a mousse-y texture.

Powdered Sugar: If you don’t like nuts try sifting some powdered sugar atop of these babies!

Whipped Cream: Or try topping these strawberries with whipped cream.

Step 1: Prep Strawberries

Prepare your strawberries by washing, slicing in half then cutting a divet in the center.

Step 2: Pipe Nutella

Transfer Nutella into a ziplock bag or piping bag. Then pipe Nutella into each groove you made.

Step 3: Top with Nuts

Top with chopped nuts and refrigerate until ready to serve!

Leftovers

Deviled Strawberries will last about three days in the fridge, covered.

Since this is such a simple and quick recipe I’d make it fresh every time!

In a small strainer, place a small amount of powdered sugar and ‘tap’ it over these tasty morsels!! You might also place the cut green tops around the ends for pop!

Thanks for all these wonderful recipes. I can’t wait to try them. We mostly stay away from desserts, which I will try when the grands come to visit. The rest will be tried on my husband. Very creative which is what I love. Never make “most” recipes exactly like stated. Do something to make them uniquely your own. With breads and cakes and candies, most people will find success by sticking pretty close to the recipe. Have fun and enjoy any recipe that gets your attention! Cooking should be fun and not work!

Love how simple these are! I have made deviled strawberries before but they had a mascarpone filling.

Oh Yum!!! I add a bit of whipped cream to my nutella (makes a Moussey texture), and using gigantic, enormous Strawberries fill those puppies with it! And for the “I don’t like nuts” crowd, top them with sprinkles! I have a love/hate relationship with you Lauren. My mouth loves your creations, my jeans/hips hate you. If it involves chocolate/cookies/candy/sugar/tasty I can’t help myself and have to make and eat-the-entire-pan!

You are hilarious – always keep me laughing! I LOVE this idea – so simple and delicious! I am signed up for your Indulge Conference and Can’t wait to meet you!!! Your blog was one of the very first I started following regularly way back in the day and continues to be one of my favs!

These. are. brilliant. I never would have thought to “devil” anything but eggs, but I love these! And totally acceptable the day after Easter 😉

  15. Shaina

Now these are the kind of “deviled” treats I can get into. Deviled eggs are totally not my thing, but when you turn them into a dessert with strawberries and Nutella, I certainly won’t be turning them away!

Nutella + strawberries is never EVER silly. Per usual, you crack me up! We have our first niece on the way, and I suspect I’m going to have similar feelings!
