Collage 2Howdy, friends! Merry Christmas Eve!

I thought I would share with you some of my favorite cookbooks/kitchen products/gifts I’m asking for this year. Nothing over $30 either…because I’m a cheapskate. –>truth

And, no one is paying me to say/promote their stuff. I just really like it.

1. Pyrex Glass Storage Containers–I hate cheap-o plastic containers with a passion. These last a million years longer and you can microwave the heck out of this without worrying about the plastic melting. Pretty sure you can find these at Walmart or online at amazon.

2. The Picky Palate Cookbook– I’ve been following Jenny’s blog for a while now and was thrilled that she published a book. Everything I’ve tried I’ve liked and all the recipes are pretty quick too 🙂 Available at any bookstore or amazon.

3. Mini Doughnuts Cookbook– My friend Jessica wrote this book. I love her and harass/text her constantly. She loves me for it…I think. I also love a good doughnut. Therefore we are bff’s. {Yes, this is a picture of her holding a doughnut at Top Pot.} I’ll be doing a more thorough review of this book next week, but for now, you should pick one of these up. Lots of fun flavors and lots of new methods to try 🙂 Available at any bookstore or amazon.

4. The Cookie Dough Lover’s Cookbook– I love the photography and the recipes in this book. A perfect stocking stuffer. Available at any bookstore or amazon.

5. A Microplane– I use this little thing for everything. Visiting my parents without my microplane makes me realize and {1} I am dependent on it and {2} I eat too much garlic. You can get these at any kitchen supply store.

microplane6. Desserts in Jars– Shaina is a funny and talented blogger who wrote this book. Her blog makes me want to cook more than I already do and this idea for desserts in jars is genius. I want to try ALL of these recipes. I also want to buy all sorts of cute jars and containers…like copious unhealthy amounts. Can’t handle the cuteness! This is a fun book to flip through, plus the recipes are delish. Case in point: Cranberry Orange Cheesecakes…in jars!! Totally festive and yummy! This cookbook is available at any bookstore, amazon or Target!! Nothing like a little tar-jay trip…..

7. So, since my birthday is only a few days after Christmas, I like to make the most of it and ask for larger items. I guess it’s not all that much ‘larger’ monetarily speaking, but it definitely is a big deal to me. I’m asking for {and hopefully getting} a massage and/or a facial and/or a pedicure and/or a manicure. Basically,  I want to live at the spa. That to me is heaven and worth the years wait. I also want a Baskin Robbins Ice Cream Cake. My Mom used to order them for us as kids and completely forgot about it until I realized there was a Baskin Robbins .2 miles away from my house….with premade ice cream cakes. Now I’m finding little things to buy ice cream cakes over.

You semi-cleaned your sink in your bathroom? AWESOME! Lets go get some cake!

This perhaps is leading my daughter down a path with the ‘underachiever’ status. At this point in time, its no biggie because I’m pregnant. I also don’t typically aim high at a lot of things but that’s a fun little discussion for another time.

8. Oh, I also want laser hair removal but that is more than $30 aaaand you can’t be pregnant to have that done. So, I’ll be saving up. In the mean time, is it worth it, laser hair removal experts?

9. Home Depot/ Lowe’s gift cards- Gordon and I bought a home. Not sure I mentioned that ever on here before. It’s not a fixer-upper in the least, but we definitely need to make it ‘our style’ which will require some serious painting and crown moulding…with a little drywall thrown into the mix. I’ll keep you posted 🙂

I think that’s all I want for now. Cheers! Happy holidays, friends 🙂

Laser hair removal is so worth it. I am half way through my treatments and it has made a big difference. Our hospital here has a Med Spa so I am going to them.

Merry Christmas Eve! Laser Hair removal is absolutely worth it. At least, to me it was. It should only take six sessions and if you do some research you can find a reputable place that’s easier on the wallet. It took me 8 sessions ’cause I’ve got ridiculously thick dark hair. On a brighter note the company gave me half off on the last two sessions because they promise it can be done in 6!
