Tuna Lemon Pepper Sliders from www.laurenslatest.comThis week is the last Land O’Lakes Sauté Express® Sauté Starter recipe! We’re wrapping up the Weeknight Wins Blogger Challenge. We hope you’ve had fun, and tried some easy recipe ideas from our Pinterest Board. If you haven’t pinned yet, now is your last chance to pin away!

This weeks’ theme is Express Yourself! So, I went a little out of the box and came up with these awesome Tuna Lemon Pepper Sliders. They are SO simple to make and taste awesome! They can be made in 20 or 30 minutes and all start with canned tuna! Suck on that, pocketbook! I cook these on the stovetop in some Lemon Pepper Sauté® Express Sauté Starter and serve them on Hawaiian sweet rolls with lettuce, tomato and a little homemade tartar sauce. My husband LOVED these and surprisingly so did my 4-year-old. Like we didn’t have to bribe her to finish. She just gobbled them up. That’s how you know this is an awesome recipe. 🙂 Also, make sure you use dill pickles in the homemade tartar sauce and not the sweet kind. Sweet pickles should be illegal. That is all. Here are the details: IMG_0375 Start by making your patties. All that goes into these are two cans of drained tuna, an egg, scallions, salt, pepper, Old Bay Seasoning and bread crumbs (or ground oats). Stir this up and form into six sliders that are about ¾-inch thick. IMG_0451 Now we can put two of these lemon pepper Sauté Express® Sauté Starter squares into a skillet and melt them over medium heat. IMG_0385Put your tuna sliders into the pan and cook about 4 minutes a side or until browned. IMG_0391Like so! Once these are all cooked, remove from the pan and set aside. IMG_0404You can use store bought tartar sauce, or make your own. This is just mayonnaise, dill pickles, lemon juice, dill, cayenne, salt and pepper. Super simple and a tiny bit spicy. IMG_0407To assemble these sliders, grab 6 small rolls, slice in half, top with lettuce, tomato, one of the tuna sliders and that tartar sauce. That’s it! Easy Peasy. IMG_0436

I would love to make this recipe! Too often I get intimidated by making anything resembling a burger. But you make it simple and easy!

I have been in such a tuna-funk lately. I think this recipe is just what i needed to rekindle my love for canned tuna! It looks absolutely delicious and its a great spin on sliders!

I express myself in the kitchen by never making the exact same thing twice. I always change a little something every time I make the same dish. It may be because I’m out of an ingredient, or I just want to use up something in the fridge. Every meal has some aspect of uniqueness to it, which always keeps everyone guessing!

I’ll express myself tomorrow night, by making the tuna slider recipe. I actually already have all the ingredients! Or I’ll get myself to the grocery store for some tilapia and use the lemon pepper saute starter I already have.

I love to express myself in my cooking and baking. The best part of baking is
    sharing with others!

I would love to try your recipe for the Tuna Lemon Pepper Sliders. I think I would substitute salmon for a little different twist. Canned tuna and salmon is very affordable, compared to fresh seafood at the market. Thanks for another great recipe Lauren!

I am currently 7 months pregnant and know the importance of eating fish during pregnancy. With that said, I am not s big fan of preparing fish. I think this lemon pepper starter would be a perfect way for me to easily prepare fish more often without having to put much thought into how to do it! I am definitely going to try the tuna cakes and maybe try some salmon cakes!

I am in love with the saute starter set! The first thing that I would make would be …. the tuna sliders! They look delish! I have been working hard to loose weight and to help my husband eat healthier as well, this recipe would fit the bill 🙂

I express myself or my love to my family with love from the food that I prepare for them. It’s nothing more satisfying than preparing a wholesome meal that my family loves. That not only nurture the body, but also the soul. I love the time we spend on the family table.

I was going to try one of the Saute Express seasonings next week.

For the contest purposes: I would use one of the Saute Express Seasonings with chicken breast. I would have some tossed pasta with fresh spinich. Then top it off with some nice garlic type bread, and glass of wine. Yummy!

I would definitely make these, they look delicious! But I’d also be eager to try them with my salmon patties–salmon, mashed potato flakes, onion, lemon juice, egg to bind. yum!

I love to explore pinterest, internet to discover new recipes. I try to make something new every week. I really enjoy your blog, have already tried two of your recipes! Best wishes for you and the new baby!

I’d make some crab cakes. This is the time of the year when the male crabs, that spend he winter off the beach and the female crabs who winter in the marsh feel the urge and began walking towards each other. If there is anything better than fresh crabs cake I haven’t found it.

I’m a pizza guy so I love to entertain friends and family with different and strange “concoctions” that suit an array of tastbuds. Most people are adventurous, few are not- including my dad. For him, its pepperoni! Spinach is one of my favorite toppings and most pizzas I make contain garlic from my garden. I also can/preserve my own pizza sauce from my tomato harvest. When you add those little touches it shows a love and passion for the food. People see that and tend to enjoy it more, at least they act like it.

I express myself by creating from scratch and real food. Drives my wife nuts sometimes but I like real taste and hate chemicals

I would use the Italian Herb Saute Express to saute some mushrooms, peppers, onions, grape tomatoes, zucchini, chicken and steak. I would call Shish Kaboba a La Bowl. Serve it with some corn on the cob and potato salad for a summer classic to help cure winter time blues. 🙂

I love expressing myself in the kitchen by taking a little of this and a little of that from a few different recipes at a time and creating my very own unique meal. And I might add bacon. =)
