Clearly, I have a new obsession.

This recipe is ridiculously simple to make and takes about 10 minutes of active time total to throw together, starting with these ritz crackers.

I think the longest part of this recipe is waiting for these to cool and set up so you can cut and eat them….although I won’t stop you from eating this by the spoonful warm. –>It’s pretty divine…not that I know or anything.

Buttery, tender-yet-crunchy, salty, sweet and vanilla-y! You guys are gonna die when you taste these.

Not really die, Mom.

They were the perfect sweet treat to hit the spot.

Huge hit! Very easy to make and such a great taste. My daughter wants to try putting melted chocolate layer on top next time. 🙂

Hey there, I noticed questions about how many crackers to a sleeve. I ran into this problem when I made this recipe and failed, using sleeves that they now stock the short way, instead of the long way. (I understand that as a sales strategy, these aren’t the healthiest crackers, and we tend to eat a sleeve at a time.)

To help figure this out, I found two articles that mentioned that the old sleeves were 35 to a sleeve. If you have OCD like I do, I’d count up the crackers in a box, divide by 3 to get the per sleeve amount called for in recipes like this.

    I gotta try this again…

I always do some holiday treats to give as gifts to family and friends, money was tight this holiday season, was worried I wasn’t going to be able to do much if anything this year, I searched in my cupboards and saw I had Ritz crackers and marshmallows, looked online and found this recipe, I said let’s try it.
OMG it is awesome!! Now I have a new treat to add to my holiday traditions

In Canada, our Ritz crackers are not in sleeves. Can you tell me how many crackers are in a sleeve. I’d like to try this recipe!

So made these and I used the store brand Ritz. This was probably a mistake, but hey, they were in my house already. The problem I found is that the bars weren’t salty enough, they just tasted like buttery bland. I ended up fixing this by sprinkling the top with some kosher salt. The kosher salt really helped to round out the flavors and the bars became kind of addictive after that. 🙂

This is the most dangerous recipe I could have come across. I have made it twice already because I could not stay away from it! The second time I added a quarter cup of peanut butter and loved the addition. I only wonder why mine don’t appear as thick as yours, especially since I am using an 8″x8″ pan. Any thoughts?

Ok – this just sounds crazy. Crazy GOOD! Can’t wait to try. Here’s our fave version of the RK Treats: add peanut butter and bits of crisp bacon. It’s like breakfast. But it’s not. But it is…

OMG you are a genius!!! Crunchy, salty/sweet goodness! Must try these!!! Maybe with a caramel drizzle on top?!

These look delicious! But can you tell me approximately how many crackers are in a sleeve? Or a weight measurement for the crackers? Ritz crackers aren’t packaged in sleeves here, so I’m not sure how many crackers to use! Thank you! 🙂

These are dangerous. Ritz are my downfall and I love anything salty-sweet. These are amazing, Lauren!!

  16. David

One of my favorite things in the world is Ritz crackers with peanut butter, so I’m wondering… what if you had a swirl of peanut butter going through these??

Thank you for your response AND patience.
