Have I got a winning recipe for you today! Who doesn’t love a delicious chocolate and peanut butter combination? How about some Reese’s Pieces Double Chocolate Cookies? Don’t they sound purely evil? This cookie is double trouble: two hits of peanut butter and two hits of chocolate keeping it rich, moist and decadent.

These little devils are chewy, crunchy, and completely addicting fresh out of the oven.{I have yet to meet a cookie I don’t like fresh out of the oven.} These did not last long at my sister’s house. All 7 of us devoured them! Actually my niece had a friend over to play, so technically, there were 8 people eating cookies yesterday afternoon.

The best part about this recipe is the only uncommon ingredient that you may have to go pick up are the Reese’s Pieces. Everything else should be in your pantry. Butter, peanut butter, chocolate chips, cocoa powder, flour…..see? Nothing out of the ordinary here! Just use the usual cookie method to whip these up and 8 minutes later they are baked to perfection. Make sure you have plenty of milk on hand for these! You’re gonna need it!

Reese’s Pieces Double Chocolate Cookies
yield: about 4 dozen

Ingredients:
1/2 cup butter, softened
3/4 cup smooth peanut butter
3/4 cup granulated sugar
3/4 cup packed brown sugar
1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips, melted
2 eggs
1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla extract
1/2 cup cocoa powder
1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 cup Reese’s Pieces

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly grease baking sheet and set aside.

In large bowl, cream butter and peanut butter together. Whip in sugars until light and fluffy, 2 minutes. Stir in melted chocolate, eggs, and vanilla. Scrape the sides of the bowl and mix again. Slowly stir in all dry ingredients until just incorporated. Scrape the sides of bowl and mix again briefly. Stir Reese’s Pieces in by hand. Scoop cookie dough out into rounds {I used a cookie scoop} and flatten slightly. Place onto prepared baking sheet. Bake for 8-9 minutes or until cookies look matte {not shiny}. Cool on baking sheet 3 minutes and remove to cooling rack. Serve warm!

    These look amazing!!! But how do you melt your chocolate? I tried making chocolate dipped pretzels one time but ended up with burnt flavored chocolate. Oops!

      I put mine in a bowl and microwave it at 50% power. It takes a little time, but it always works like a charm. Make sure you mix it every 30 seconds or so. And, when your chocolate is almost melted, don’t microwave it any more! Just keep stirring it- the residual heat will melt the rest. No one likes burnt chocolate!

    these look so good. my husband loves PB and chocolate (and unfortunately for my waistline, I love the combo too!).
    He has been asking me to make PB cookies this week so I think I am going to make these. They look soft and chewy too, which I prefer in cookies.

    These were SOOOOOO good! I had to run a few extra miles this past weekend to make up for how many I ate :)
    I made them for my hubby for Father’s Day since he LOVES PB and chocolate and I also made some from my brother since this was his first Father’s Day. They both loved them.
    The reeses were a nice touch and I love that you melted the chocolate before adding.
    They were soft, and moist and addictive. Thanks for a great recipe!

    I was looking for a halloween cookie recipe and your site came up on a google search for reese’s pieces chocolate cookie recipes! So good, mine came out cake-like. This was the only recipe from my search that included peanut butter in the ingredients. Yum, yum. I didn’t have chocolate chips, so i just added more cocoa powder. Still good!
