Reese\'s Frosting on brownies

Oh my good heavens, I’ve created a monster.

My mind does not work like the average mind when it comes to desserts. You’ve probably realized this characteristic about me by now.

Anyways, I made this frosting last weekend because it was an idea that just popped into this lovely brain of mine and by George, it was love at first sight bite.

It’s like a liquid Reese’s… but frosting!!

YOU GUYS. Frosting that tastes EXACTLY like a Reese’s peanut butter cup: that is now a real thing.

I spread this onto a pan of brownies but feel free to use this in any application you’d like: cake, cupcakes, toast. I don’t care and I don’t think it even matters.

REESE’S FROSTING tastes good on EVERYTHING.

I’m just now realizing I’m using a lot of capital letters in this post, also known as online yelling.

Sorry!! But not really because this frosting is RIDICULOUS. And you will become addicted.

You’re welcome.

Reese's Frosting

Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients for Reese\'s Frosting

Our cast of characters for today include: salted butter, Reese’s spread, powdered sugar and Reese’s peanut butter cups. Not pictured: vanilla and milk.

Basically, you whip everything together until you get a frosting consistency. As thin or thick as you’d like. I kept mine pretty thick. More detailed directions in the written recipe below. Promise.

Peanut butter cups beings mixed into frosting

Anyways, once your basic frosting is whipped, stir in some chopped peanut butter cups. I like seeing the big chunks in my frosting, but you can definitely throw it all into the mixer with the rest of the party. No biggie.

And that’s basically it! Spread this glorious, heavenly goodness on whatever you see fit: brownies, cupcakes, toast. It’s all up to you.

And, if you look closely, you can see all those peanut butter bits just floating around on these brownies. Talk about dream city!!

Just, YES.

Hope you all get around to making these immediately because, well, they are the epitome of ridiculous.

Also: I haven’t taken my fat pants off for days, so that’s cool.

Recipe below. Enjoy, friends!!

Good, but really can’t be used for cupcakes. The consistency isn’t right for piping and tends to break apart when piped in a curve. Even adding more milk and/or vanilla extract to the mixture didn’t help.

This is a keeper! My family all went nuts over the frosting. I am known for my brownie recipe and when I saw this recipe I HAD to switch the frosting I normally use to this recipe. Everyone just loved it.

    Great job! Thank you

Oh MY goodness. Maybe I shouldn’t have stopped by today. I have this long to do list and now it just seems so much less important than getting to the store and making this. Help, what do I do? What am I worried about, my guys won’t mind dessert for dinner. Problem solved.
