Hoppy Easter & a Giveaway!

************GIVEAWAY IS NOW CLOSED*************

Congratulations to entry #1013- Sue Moody who won this giveaway!

The Easter bunny is coming early this year! I love a good celebration and Easter definitely fits the bill! Good food, good family, good health and lots to be grateful for. Hooray for Easter!

If you all remember, Gordon left a huge hole in my heart last Easter, so this year is going to be a million times better because we’ve already dyed our eggs, we’ve made cupcakes, we’re going to make more yummy eggs, Gordon ISN’T leaving again, we’re going to eat ham, potatoes, salad and chocolate amazingness all the while having some friends from Ottawa visit us.

Oh and I’m giving away this awesome hand blender from KitchenAid! Isn’t it purdy? So handy to have and useful for so many small jobs in the kitchen.

You want to win it, huh? Well the lovely folks at KitchenAid want you to win it too!

Candy. It’s not really an Easter food. It’s an all the time food. But if we can go back to Mardi Gras/Fat Tuesday, my favorite would have to be paczki. Mmmmmmmm paczki. You are so elusive when not in the Midwest near the Polish!

Thanks for the giveaway Lauren. It’d be so nice to have a handheld mixer, especially when I don’t feel like lugging out the 25 lb mixer.

I think my favorite easter food has to be hot cross buns. I’m obsessed with carbs :)

Although it’s not technically Easter food, my mother-in-law and I have a tradition of making scalloped potatoes together for Easter lunch, so that is my favorite Easter food. Probably more for sentimentality, but it’s delicious too and I only eat it at Easter!
