Happy Anniversary to us!!
The day was chilly, dark, dreary and pouring rain. My Mom said the rain was good luck, but all I could think about were crappy pictures we were going to get. The weather Gods were smiling down on us though, and once we were officially married, we walked out to sunny skies. Still chilly, but gorgeous.
I usually don’t talk about my husband much on here since my site is a FOOD blog after all. But, let me take a minute and explain what my husband is like and why he is so wonderful. Gordon is a polite, kind, honest and hard working man. He is selfless with his time, devoted to our little family and could very well be the corniest, cheesiest person in the world. He treats everyone he meets with equality and respect. He has large muscles and killer dimples which still make me weak at the knees just like they did the first day I met him. But most importantly, he makes me feel beautiful and special on my down days when I’m feeling like an unimportant ugly duckling.
I’m so grateful that I married Gord when I did. Lots of people thought we were young, dumb, and crazy to get married at 21. But truth be told, I knew I’d regret NOT marrying him. Deep down, I knew it was what I was supposed to do which is why I wasn’t nervous in the least on my wedding day…except for that darn rain.
For those of you interested, you can read about what made him fall in love with me HERE and how you too can snag a man like Gordon!
