Cooler Cleanse Review & GIVEAWAY

cooler cleanse 3 Remember on twitter and facebook when I was doing that juice cleanse? Well, I lived to tell the tale and offer one to you as well!

Are you guys into the green juice revolution that seems to be taking over? I swear everyone is on the spinach/kale/lettuce express to healthy town. To be honest, I’m not all that into green juice. I haven’t tried very many green drinks and the ones I have tried were totally nasty. But after reading Rachael’s review of the Cooler Cleanse, I knew I wanted to give it a try because it sounded do-able…even for me, the carb queen of the west. So, this review is coming from a girl who likes food, doesn’t really like green juice and has a low-tolerance gag reflex. Keep that in mind while reading. :)
cooler cleanse 4 So, I ate my clean foods two days ahead of time and started my cleanse on a Thursday morning. I got my fed-ex box about 9:45 and practically ripped it open with my teeth because I was starving. Herbal tea doesn’t quite fill you up. I checked out all the juices and opened my first bottle of sweet greens. My first thought after the first few swigs was “this is surprisingly not that bad….”. I was amazed that I actually liked it. It didn’t take me long to finish it and move on with my day and the rest of the juices.
cooler cleanse 5 I don’t want to bore you with all the tiny little details of cleanse, but after trying all the juices, I’ve decided to categorize them into one of three categories.

Good! {I’d drink it off the cleanse}
Sweet Greens
Almond Nut Milk
Brazil Nut Milk
Young Coconut Water–so good with lime juice!

Meh {drinkable; not good, but not nasty}
Watermelon & Lime
Pineapple Ginger
Spicy Lemonade
Grapefruit & Mint
Essential Green–a squeeze of lemon juice makes this so much better!

Yuck {I had to force it down}
Essential Red

Basically, what I’m trying to say is this was very do-able. Of course I felt starved and grumpy 62% of the time, but the nut milks definitely made it worth it and ended my days on a positive note! {The almond nut milk was amazing!} There was that time of the day when I seriously had to push myself to get the essential red down, but after that, the rest of the day was cake.
cooler cleanse 2 Speaking of cake…

I mean juice. I want a glass of juice.

Moral of the story cleanse: dealing with the hunger pangs is worse than the juice itself. And, you might just surprise yourself and end up liking some of the juices too. Not to mention all the health benefits that come from doing the cleanse.

Now, here comes the fun part! Do you want to try out the 3-day Cooler Cleanse? Well, my new juicy friends want to give one lucky winner the chance to try it out!

    I do like green juice, but not with any celery in it. And it must have something a little bit sweet,i.e. carrot, apple, etc. otherwise I can’t hang as easily.

    I must admit, I’m one of those ‘crazy’ people who absolutely ADORE green juices – lol.
    Have you tried adding lemon and green apple to them, the lemon takes away the bitterness that greens can have (especially kale) and the apples add a bit of sweetness. There are people that swear by pear as well.
    Hope that helps – I’m trying to convert the world one Green Juice at a time :)

    I’m not sure if I like green juice…..I know that I really like cake and cookies and pie and mashed potatoes. I also know that I would love to try a cleanse since I haven’t yet tried one, and hey, it would be fun to blog about it! ;)
