Mocktail

What is a Mocktail?

A mocktail is a traditionally alcoholic drink, made with out the alcohol. I had a version of this Christmas Mocktail when I was in Park City for the Inspired Retreat. It was so refreshing and yummy that I had to make myself a whole pitcher. Overall, this takes 5 minutes or less to throw together and is the most festive fruity drink this December!

What Do I Need to Make This?

A super simple and super quick mocktail recipe that only takes 5 ingredients to make! Here’s what you’ll need:

  • Cranberry Juice – perfectly Christmas-y!
  • Pineapple Juice – some sweet acidity to go along with the tart cranberry flavor.
  • Orange Juice – another slightly Christmas-y flavor with a great citrus tang.
  • Sprite – or sparkling water. I thought a little club soda or sparkling water would have made this perfect but didn’t have any on hand. I added that to the printable recipe below, but it’s totally optional.
  • Ice – the ice is key and makes this cold and wonderful to sip.
  • Sugar – this is also optional and is used to make the rims look fancy.

How to Make a Christmas Mocktail

The directions for making this are ridiculously easy! If you want to get fancy like, dip the rim of your glass in sugar!

  1. Measure out and stir cranberry, orange and pineapple juices together in a pitcher. Add the ice and sprite (or sparkling water).
  2. Dip the damp edge of glasses into sugar, if desired.
  3. Pour into glasses and serve.

I applaud you in offering a non alcohol drink I’m always finding it in cooking recipes and can’t have and don’t like the taste of alcohol grew up with alcoholic parents and get sick even when I just smell it. Again thank you

I wonder if this could me made ahead of time & be frozen along with other Christmas goodies. Minus the sparkling water, of course.

These are DELICIOUS! On a whim, I made these right after Christmas. I ended up making them almost every day over the next couple of weeks. I kept telling myself that they are really healthy because the juices all have lots of vitamin C. Lol. Thanks for sharing this simple, delicious drink!

That cocktail looks so good it almost makes me forget there’s no rum in it! lol
My husband is super hard to buy for too! This year I lucked out and Sting is coming, so I got him tickets. However his birthday is 2 weeks later, so I don’t know what I’ll come up for that. But I find fun things to do is a great gift… Like concerts, comedy shows, rock climbing, go-karting, etc.

Love the looks of this drink!! It was so fun having cocktails at Riverhorse and it made the dinner extra special! This would be a perfect addition to any Christmas spread. And good luck with the husband gift situation!!! That’s so hard. Maybe you could buy him a DVD tv series instead of a tv??!

Ugh, men are SO hard to buy gifts for!! Everything they want you have to sell your first born to afford. Annoying,
However, these mocktails are so pretty! And they sound super yum!
