Chicken Pot Pie Soup
I’m pretty confident in saying my thighs will never shrink.
If you are new to my blog, you may not know that after I had Blake, I was seeing a trainer for a time to get rid of the last few pounds of baby weight and to have someone to be accountable to.
I exercised and worked out pretty hard and was on a strict diet. I was seeing results. Great results, actually.
Hello again, abs. Nice to see you!
After 3 months, we took measurements and guess what? I was smaller everywhere. And by everywhere, I mean everywhere but my legs. Like, there was literally no change. My trainer, bless his heart, said my legs were already pretty muscular so it would be unlikely to see a big change. A semi-nice thing to say, but it made me slightly bitter towards my lower half.
Super Mom Stir Fry
Why yes I just typed out that title.
“Super Mom Stir Fry”.
Who am I right now?
Just Mom. Not to be confused with Super Mom, although I like to lead you to believe that I am. In all reality, most days are filled with kids not wanting to do fill in the blank and me just trying to hold it together ’til bedtime. You may recall this Motherhood post.
Dinnertime may just be the worse part of the day. It used to by my favorite, but with no hubby home to help with the madness, I am back and forth between cooking and holding a cranky baby all the while fending off older children who are trying to snatch anything they can find in the pantry.
Stovetop Tuna Noodle Casserole
Tuna casserole!! Either you love it or hate it. My little family is on the love-it-like-crazy-I-will-fight-you-for-the-leftovers side.
My kids cleared their plates and then went in for seconds! And, that basically never happens.
Add a few Ruffles chips on top and suddenly it’s the best dinner ever.
I made this quick stove-top version the other day and by george I liked it even more than the kind you bake in the oven. It’s faster, easier, and uses pretty simple ingredients. I’m talkin’ about you, frozen vegetables.
